This spring, we’re proud to sponsor fantastic youth sports programs in Sanford that are all about fun, teamwork, and building lifelong skills: the City of Sanford Youth and Soccer League and the Youth Baseball League.
City of Sanford Youth Soccer League
Soccer is more than just a game—it’s an opportunity for our youngest athletes to learn teamwork, develop basic skills, and enjoy active play in a safe, supportive environment.
Age Divisions: The league is divided into three age groups: 4-6, 7-8, and 9-10 years old.
Game Days: Games kick off on Saturday mornings starting March 1, 2025, at the Jeff Triplett Community Center fields at Tim Raines Sports Park.
City of Sanford Babe Ruth Youth Baseball League
Baseball has a special place in the hearts of many families in Sanford. The City of Sanford Youth Baseball League offers a fantastic opportunity for kids to develop their skills, enjoy the camaraderie of team play, and get out on the field.
Divisions: Cal Ripken Division (Ages 4-12) & Babe Ruth Division (Ages 13-18).
Opening Day: February 22, 2025
The leagues are co-ed, encouraging inclusivity and teamwork. Games are played at several local venues, including:
Herbert “Whitey” Eckstein – Chase Park (1500 Celery Avenue)
Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium (1201 S. Mellonville Avenue)
Zinn Beck Field (1201 S. Mellonville Avenue)
